    We can do this!

That has been our stubborn and energetic rallying cry.

We are hopeful to raise the the amount we se out to, but  as the days pass and the little bar does not move closer to our goal we can't help but get nervous.

Especially at this time we hope that you will support our work. The hard work we have been and continue to put in will have even more impact with you behind us taking up our cry.

    Thank you!

We are at the beginning of an epic online fundraiser experience. Excitement and hopes are high!

It will take more than our positive outlook to keep this thing going. We will need your support now more than ever!

Even if you only share the site link to your friends it is appreciated! And no amount donated is too small.

Just about everyone has at least $2 in pocket change hanging around with dust bunnies!

Put it to good use and help support the production of an incredible performance experience!

Engaging audience in the process in the way of "after performance talks" is not our usual way of creating. In some point we thought this kind of interaction spoil the process. However, since we are in residency at HERE we have been enjoying getting the feed back from the other HARP residents. So we decided to applied the "HERE feed back style" to our audience at CAVE. • The dancers or the dancer dilemma…

We set up the pool and string sculptures at CAVE in August 2009. Made three performances, each with a different musician. The first show was over an hour long, Jeremy Slater made the music for it. The second day the music was done by Roland Toledo and the third day it was just the sound of the water. We were four dancers Irem Calikusu, Stephanie Lanckton, Denisa Musilova and myself. Shige worked on the video and also together we tried to make use of the few light instruments at CAVE. After months thinking about what happened in August, we decided to do the January 2010 Culturemart show with only me as a dancer... It is a hard decision ... in my mind I can make two versions of this piece: one with one dancer and one with four. However, for HERE's the one dancer version might be more suitable, there are so many elements in the space and it might be just too much. The dancers gave lots of material to me. I took a lot to build up the solo for January 2010. I am writing this post too long after the fact, but since we have this new blog I wanted to a least enter the main questions we have had during the creations of Floating Point Waves.

In this video you can see the piece with the four dancers. Feel free to comment and specially if you had the chance to see the different versions of the live performances.

This video has two kind of documentation. Most of the images are from  the residency at the amazing  New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh in August 2009.  The other is part of our showing at our tinny and much loved CAVE.
