Looks Like Torture exhibited from Feb 21 - Mar 30, 2013 in the HERE gallery.
About the show
Looks Like Torture is a performance art-based group exhibition that examines the physical and psychological torture we inflict on others and ourselves—highlighting issues of discrimination, authoritative abuse, bullying and insecurity.
The exhibition and performances present a roster of international artists working in a variety of media including performance, video, photography, installation, and sculpture.
As part of the six-week exhibition—opening Thursday, February 21—there will be receptions, performance art, and visual installations. Additional performances related to the artwork will be held on Monday, March 4 and Monday, March 11 with panel discussions to follow.
